On the day that training specialist CAE starts its first training program for Embraer’s new Phenom 100, European air taxi operators of the first VLJs in service are expressing concern about the lack of availability of training slots on type, Canadian charity Ornge has agreed a $120 million deal with AgustaWestland to buy 10 AW139 medium twin helicopters. The agreement, signed today at the show, includes an option for two additional aircraft; while Indian investment conglomerate ISIS Group has placed a $70 million order for 10 Hawker 400XPs. They will be operated by its air charter subsidiary Aviators India Pvt Limited, based in Bangalore.
