| Flightglobal's successes at the Farnborough Air Show |
| |
|

|
We are happy to report that the Farnborough Air Show was another roaring success, with Flightglobal breaking through the two million page view barrier for the first time in a single week, with over half a million visits and over 330,000 unique visitors coming to Flightglobal during the week of the show. This is a rise of 53% versus the previous Farnborough in 2008 and 12% rise on Paris 2009.
After pioneering the integrated media coverage approach at last year's Paris Air Show a year ago, we once again opened our doors to interested visitors while producing an array of content live at the show for Flightglobal, Flight International magazine, Flight Daily News and our new interactive magazine iFlight.
Some of the other highlights included:
Our content also went beyond the aviation market with two of our videos making the daily most viewed chart on YouTube, being one of the first to show the Boeing 787 arrive and also a unique infrared look at the F-22 flying display being viewed over 45,000 and 60,000 respectively.
But don't just take our word for it. For an independent view, check out the aerospace media blog from Ludo Van Vooren, a respected veteran of the industry who blogs about e-Business, Social Media, Internet Marketing and International Business Development.

| Flightglobal sweeps the board at journalism awards |

|
Flightglobal writers were flying high at the Aerospace Journalist of the Year Awards held at Farnborough, taking home four awards. Flightglobal, who were up against writers from across the world, won four of the 15 awards.
Flight International editor Murdo Morrison was named overall Aerospace Journalist of the Year and also collected Best Air Show Submission. The magazine’s deputy editor Max Kingsley-Jones won the Air Transport category – and US-based senior editor Mary Kirby took the Regional Aircraft award.
Flightglobal journalists received a total of seven further nominations, with Victoria Moores, Niall O’Keeffe, Jon Ostrower and Brendan Sobie shortlisted. The judges were impressed with Flightglobal's results in what has been a tough year for its audience.
Murdo Morrison said: “This was a tremendous performance across the group and reflects the outstanding journalism the team is producing across print and online, including blogs and video. It really reinforces Flightglobal’s claim to provide the industry’s most professional and comprehensive coverage.” |
