Birmingham Office
Agency League Table 2011 |
Congratulations to GBR Phoenix Beard, who achieved the first place in the EGi Birmingham office disposal league table for 2011. GBR Phoenix Beard has beaten off competition from all the national firms to not only complete the most number of disposals but also to transact the most overall space. The firm knocked CBRE off the top spot, regaining the title it last held in 2009. Among GBR Phoenix Beard's headline deals this year is signing Network Rail to nearly 30,000 sq ft at Norfolk House (DTZ was joint agent).
The table was published in the Estates Gazette on 5th November and was based on the amount of office sq ft let and sold in Birmingham in the past year. 2009 to 2011 office disposals are compared in a chart below.

* Office occupational sales and lettings only. The table refers to agents acting for the lessor or the vendor. Joint agency deals are related to both agents. The area covered is Central Birmingham as defined by BOMF. King Sturge merged with Jones Lang LaSalle on 31 May 2011. All deals before this are counted separately for King Sturge, while all deals after are credited to Jones Lang LaSalle (incorporating King Sturge), and include the Jones Lang LaSalle total prior to the merger. |
