Paul's predictions: what to watch over the next 3 months?

While there are some signs of opportunistic buyers re-entering the market we expect the next three months to see investors and developers remain on the sidelines as values continue to fall and banks continue to work through their exposure to commercial property. Key stories in this period will be:

- What are the public sector and government doing to help the commercial property industry? Next week’s Budget should see important reforms to stamp duty land tax and potentially REIT regulation.

- With billions of pounds of debt invested in commercial property maturing, how are those most exposed ensuring the best outcome for their businesses?
